Water Filteration Launch at Lowe’s

In 2017, A.O. Smith acquired Aquasana, makers of water filters. As Aquasana’s in-house creative lead, I was on the team that pitched for Lowe’s water filtration business. AO Smith won the business and the opportunity to redesign the entire water filtration section at Lowe’s stores, which included packaging for the entire product line. I was presented with the Chairman’s Award, the highest award presented to an employee in the corporation.

Art Direction

How do you make water filters look sexy? I worked with fabricators to create prototypes, then art directed the shoot for the main images. Products were shot with dramatic lighting in a sleek photographic style for the hero shots.


 

Packaging

I designed the family of retail packaging (≈ 30 SKUs) going into Lowe’s stores. The packaging had a visual system for each category which allowed the customer to match the products with their filtration needs.

 

In-store signage/Merchandising

The signage below was part of the larger system found in Lowe’s stores. This system worked in conjunction with the visuals that were applied on the packaging.
